e know that the real size of the voters roll is 430,000. A 100% turnout would mean 430,000 votes. A 90% turnout would mean 387,000 votes. An 80% turnout would mean 344,000 votes. A 70% turn out would mean 301,000 votes. However, all records, including recount data, suggest 450,000+ total votes at the March 2nd elections.

CGID: GECOM MUST ENSURE NO FRAUDULENT BALLOT IS COUNTED
The false contention that GECOM has no jurisdiction to investigate election fraud, which has now become the PPP’s “cause clebre,” invokes strong suspicions of guilt. CGID calls on GECOM to pursue any and all evidence of fraud and ensure that no fraudulent ballot is counted.
The Recount has Established the PPP did not win the Elections
This fraud could significantly reduce APNU-AFC majority and deny the will of the people
GECOM must make the recount data available to all political parties so that an election petition could be swift and decisive. In the meanwhile, GECOM must use the existing regional declarations to make a formal declaration and swear in President Granger for a second term.
I disagree with Sherwood Lowe: The Recount must be thorough and Complete; no room for Gimmicks.
The original PPP strategy was to have the results for all Regions, except Region 4, declared. This would have allowed them to push for a recount of Region 4 with new and special rules created by injunctions and court rulings.
The Coalition must move early during the recount to confirm its victory
The process will not identify an election winner until extremely late or only at its very end. The coalition must not wait that long for the truth to be revealed.

PPP’s Nandlall reveals plan for Anarchy
We could see a repeat of what happened during the Region 4 count. PPP operatives could storm the location and irrevocably contaminate the documents. With the recount compromised, and no legal path to government existing, there could be anarchy.
Stop the Recount: it is time for a Government of National Unity.
The only practical way forward is to swear-in President Granger, establish a Government of National Unity, and embark on a constitutional reform process. A recount could be undertaken when it is safe to do so. Prior political agreement should determine how we handle the outcome of the recount.
THE OAS HAS COMPROMISED ITSELF
Despite allegations and complaints of irregularities committed by PPPC operatives (including demands for recount) by the APNU/AFC vis-à-vis several electoral Districts including Districts 2, 3, and 6, no mention, enquiries, or strong statements of condemnation were made by the OAS.
GECOM CANNOT VIOLATE THE LAW TO FACILITATE A RECOUNT
In my view, Article 162 (1) (b) authorizes GECOM to instruct persons within its constitutional remit, or to take any action necessary, to ensure that an elections is administered fairly, impartially and in compliance with, and fidelity to, extant law. It doesn’t not empower GECOM to make new law, or amend, nullify, disregard or supersede existing law, in order to abrogate other statutes.
