Before the recount, the PPP went to court to argue that under Article 162 (1) (b) of the Guyana Constitution, GECOM has the power to take any action necessary to ensure that elections are fair, free, impartial and conducted in adherence to the law. They argued this ad nauseam to justify a recount because they claimed the Region 4 results were fraudulent.
They got their wish. The extra constitutional recount commenced. It unearthed massive, systematic PPP voter fraud. PPP operatives throughout the country voted for dead people, people who are overseas and people who didn’t turn out to vote.
A police investigation has confirmed that the names of people abroad, who were not in Guyana on election-day, have been registered as voted. There is slso a separate investigation in to the names of dead people that were registered as voted.
Now that they have been caught with fraudulent votes, the PPP has flip-flopped. They said they’ve changed their minds and now believe GECOM cannot take steps to ensure that no fraudulent ballots are counted to ensure the election is free, fair, transparent and in adherence to the law.
Every action emanating from the PPP confirms that they’re guilty of elections fraud. They’re so transparent in their fraud scheme that their actions could have been predicted a year away. They are fighting to protect purported votes that were cast for dead people. They have the effrontery and audacity to demand that their fraudulent ballots are counted.
Here’s what the Guyanese people and the International community needs to know. The PPP committed, massive, systematic voter fraud. Their operatives throughout the country voted for dead people, people who are overseas and people who didn’t turn out to vote. This has now been verified by Guyana Police.
The Guyanese people and the international community also need to know that while some the numbers in Region 4 appears to have been incorrect, the PPP numbers across the country are also incorrect. The PPP numbers are massively inflated by fraudulent ballots and fake votes.
The nation has now confirmed that the PPP brouhaha about Region 4 was a scam. It was a diversionary tactic to distract and prevent GECOM and the nation from investigating PPP voter fraud accross the rest of the country.
What is scary, is that it almost worked. The PPP almost bullied the nation and international community into believing that it won the elections with thousands, upon thousands of fraudulent votes.
The Guyana Elections Commission has a decision to make. Its Chairman, Justice Claudette Singh has a decision to make. Will they allow fraudulent ballots to be counted and the elections to be corrupted?
The ruling APNU+AFC coalition has maintained that it has won the elections with the legitimate, lawful ballots. No one has presented any evidence to disprove the coalition’s confident assertion of victory.
Guyana is a currenty a powderkeg and ripe with volatility. The nation’s young people already feel oppressed and deprived of opportunities for personal development and financial stability. Already, they’re expressing solidarity with the youth revolution taking place in America and Europe, from which they draw inspiration.
GECOM therefore can ill afford the optics of being bullied into allowing votes which the Police have verified to be fraudulent to be counted.
