So 29 days before general elections in Guyana, Jan K Mangal and the opposition PPP have trotted yet another one of the PPP’s subversive co-conspirators to attack Guyana’s APNU+AFC coalition government. International NGO “Global Witness” has joined the anti-government campaign to boost the PPP’s failing campaign and help BharratJagdeo gain power through the backdoor.
Global Witnesses did not consult with any NGO in Guyana. Its finds were cooked up in boardrooms and secret meetings with individuals with treasonous intent. It is the product of that conspiracy that they have published. Global Witness seeks to impose its opportunistic, foreign, imperialist mindset and operations on Guyanese.
They claim to be a anti corruption and government accountability watchdog. But apparently they need to work on their on diversity accountability. The organization’s board of directors (pictured below) looks more like a Donald Trump rally, than a reflection of the people’s of the world who they have arrogated to themselves a right to represent.

Global has teamed up with a man who was oil and gas adviser to President David Granger. Soon after his appointment, he was given walking papers. The nation now understands why. Did the traitor potentially leaked like a sieve? Once out of the government service, this traitor began using information accessed souly from his position as presidential adviser to attack the government is the Stabroek and Kaieteur dailies. For us Guyanese one word comes to mind – CHARRANDAS!
While Global Witness has criticized the APNU+AFC coalition government for the Exxon agreement, Guyanese know full well that the disastrous original agreement was signed by then President Jagan and PPP government. The APNU+AFC coalition government has since improved the terms of the Janet Jagan agreement.
Global Witness failed to mentioned that just before the 2015 elections, the PPP government, under President Donald Ramotar and then Minister of Nature Resources, Robert Montgomery Persaud, sold several of the Canje and Kaieteur oil blocks to PPP members and financiers, who have no experience whatsoever in oil and gas. The oil reserves in the blocks sold to the PPP supporters carry an estimated vslue of US $2 billion. This is what must be investigated.
International financial institutions estimat that the PPP government stole and/or siphoned off between US$ 10-20 billion from the Guyanese treasury between 1992 and 2015. Where was Global Witness when all this money was being stolen from the Guyanese people? What have they done about it? Or is their anti corruption crusade limited to their compact with those whose real campaign against Afro-Guyanese leadership of Guyana?
Where was Global Witnesses when the PPP, who they seem to be colluding with, set up dead squads which committ genocide against Afro-Guyanese? No investigations were ever done. There has been no justice. What has this professed government accountability watchdog done to expose the PPP government corruption regarding its work with the murder of hire Phantom death squads?
Where was Global Witness when Bharrat Jagdeo was plotting to give away part of Essequibo to the Venezuelans to settle their frivolous and indefensible territorial dispute?
Is Global Witnesses funding the anti-government campaign; including high priced attorneys’ fees and research for lawsuits? Has it donated monies to the political opposition? The People of Guyana deserve to know.
Guyanese, let’s reject these imperialist opportunists who the PPP have elicited in their political campaign and who have for months been conspiring to undermine the government of Guyana.
The decision about who will govern Guyana will not be influenced by Global Witness. It will be made by the people of Guyana in the general elections on March 2, 2020. Global Witnesses cannot muster or change a single vote. Guyanese are not gullible to foreign opportunists who’ve just now discovered that Guyana exists!
